What did we ever do before the world
wide web? Really think about it - did you even have access to it ten years ago? It is a necessity today, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this.
The net evolved so fast that it was a real challenge
ot keep up. There are many folks that are still standing
around sctraching their heads trying to figure out how
best to approach this technology. The ".dotbomb" fiasco, and the resulting financial downfall proved that it was too much too fast. The internet is still an untapped means of communication that is still being embraced by those who see value in it.
In order to truly embrace web design, I felt it was importnat to understand the programming behind it. There are too many computer programmers out there trying to pass themselves off as designers and too many desingers trying to be programmers. I try to bridge the gap by being fluent in HTML coding standards, and assorted programming languages.
By the way, URL means - Universal Resource Locator: a string that specifies the location of an object accessible via Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), typically a World Wide Web address. Take that nugget of info and go impress your family and friends.
