The
Drama Workshop hadn't updated their logo in decades, and was
suffering from what was a very dated mark that didn't translate
very well into printed documents. TDW wanted to establish
a instantly recognizable mark that was cleaner and less likely
to become dated years from now. This mark is inspired by the
actual TDW staging area, which is a 3/4 thrust. This means
that the audiences surrounds the stage on three sides. Essentially
the stage is a giant black square from which the shows are
performed on. The emphasis on drama is of course the key element
to TDW, which doesn't normally produce musicals. |
