The Boys
Next Door is comedy drama that focuses on the lives of
4 mentally challenged men and their relationship with their
caregiver. The theme of the show is the perceived simplicity
of these men's lives in comparison to the perceived complexity
of the social worker's life. I wanted to embrace this theme
by taking four objects that represent each character. Norman
is fat and works at a donut shop, Lucien believes there may
be bunnies around, Barry has delusions he is a golf pro, and
Arnold compulsively buys Wheaties. The odd paring of these
everyday items is the complexity of the poster, and invites
the viewer to question the image. This poster is a 2 color
11 x 17 poster.
